Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to create an informal dispute resolution process available to behavioral health providers licensed by the Department of Health and Human Resources for orders or citations of deficient practices. Estimations are based on current requests for dispute resolutions received by the behavioral health program, as well as similar services offered by the nursing home program. Costs associated with this bill are estimated to be minimal and thus absorbed within the current budget.
