Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This measure would prohibit WVABCA licensees from using self-scanning cash registers for beer sales and wine sales but not liquor sales.
No likely impact on costs of the state.
The prohibition on self-sacnners could be an inconvenience to consumers.
The revenue impact could be none, low or high but it is difficult to quantify without data on the current usage of self-scanners for beer and wine sales and on consumer usage fo the self-scanners.
