Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):

The estimated statewide cost to the County Boards of Education to hold biennial meetings with the other counties in the same Regional Education Service Agency is $55,863 per meeting. This estimated cost is based on the assumption that none of the county boards will have held 50 or more meetings during the year in which the biennial meeting required by this proposed bill is held and that all county boards compensate their members at $160 per meeting. The estimated cost includes the salary and applicable employee benefit costs paid to board members, as well as the estimated additional travel costs.
