Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of House Bill 4511 is to create the Shale Research, Education, Policy and Economic Development Center at West Virginia University. It is estimated that the cost of this program will be $250,000 over a four year period for a total cost of $1 million. The estimated cost for faculty and staff is $200,000. Additional costs for current expenses are expected to be $50,000.
