Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to increase the maximum allowable compensation paid to county board of education members for attending meetings of the county board, meetings of the advisory councils of regional education service agencies (RESAs), meetings of the administrative councils of multi-county vocational centers (MCVCs) and required training sessions from $160 per meeting to $200 per meeting.

The total estimated cost was determined as follows:
Estimated additional cost to county boards for attending county board meetings - $550,000
Estimated additional cost to county boards for attending required training sessions - $330,000
Estimated additional cost to county boards - $880,000
Estimated additional cost to RESAs for RESA meetings - $66,000
Estimated additional cost to MVCVs for MCVC meetings - $9,600
