Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
100% Federal funding of extended unemployment benefits. This bill amends our current statute to provide a three year look back comparison of our total unemployment rate as opposed to a 2 year look back comparison. If this legislation would not pass we could potentially trigger off eligibility for 100% Federal funding of extended benefits later this year. If this would happen approximately 2,500 to 3,000 claimants would immediately lose their extended unemployment benefits and claimants exhausting emergency unemployment would not be able to receive further extended benefits.
