Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
House Bill 3068 requires a Revitalization Project for WVU-Tech to be completed under the direction of the Higher Education Policy Commission. A study will be conducted and paid for by the Commission. The bill permits the expenditure of appropriated funds under the direction of the Commissions’ Chancellor for the purposes set forth the bill and in the proposed revitalization plan approved by LOCEA. Although the bill does not establish an amount for these appropriations, the costs associated with development of new programs, student outreach initiatives, demolition of certain facilities, and renovation of campus infrastructure will be substantial.
