Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The purpose of this bill is to provide a $2500 salary bonus to certified social workers and is part of the speech-language pathology, audiology, counseling, school psychology and school nursing group whereby only an additional 115 recipients can begin receiving the bonus each year.
There is room for only an additional 16 eligible individuals to receive the $2,500 supplement for the 2011-12 year, therefore, the estimated cost to the State through the Public School Support Program for the 2011-12 year is $54,520.
