Senate Bill 96 eliminates outdated language involving elected county officials; requires prosecuting attorneys to be full time beginning January 1, 2013, except those currently part-time; adds training for circuit clerks and their assistants and employees; transfers some training from the Tax Commissioner to the State Auditor; removes archaic limitations on travel expenses; permits a sheriff to turn over an impounded dog to the humane society or similar organization; and eliminates limitation on prisoner costs in certain counties.
