Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The purpose of this bill is to require boards of education to hire the best qualified person for extracurricular activities.
The bill would change the hiring criteria for an extra-curricular position for an individual who is applying that is not a professional educator. The impact on education could be that teachers, who hold a professional license and have been trained to work with students, would not be given preference for extra-curricular coaching positions.
There would be no cost incurred with this legislation.
