Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
There will be no significant fiscal impact to the Division of Natural Resources if this legislation is enacted into law. Since January 1, 1978, the Division of Natural Resources’ Parks and Recreation Section has been charged with the administrative management of all state forests in West Virginia, including Coopers Rock, and is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the area. Currently, the Division of Natural Resources has personnel directly assigned to Coopers Rock and provides the facility with its annual operating budget.
