The purpose of this bill is to clarify periods of leave of absences for public officials and employees for drills, parades, active duty, etc. This bill will eliminate confusion for employees with shifts that encompass multiple days. Such as, firefighters who work a 24 hour shift. As such, it will not significantly change the law and should have a budget neutral impact.
