Based upon our research, this proposed legislation would affect approximately 301 troopers residing in 13 counties: Berkeley, Cabell, Hancock, Harrision, Jefferson, Kanawha, Monongalia, Morgan, Ohio, Pleasants, Putnam, Raleigh and Wood.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):


According to the U. S. Census Bureau's 2000 census, 13 counties have a median monthly homeowner cost that exceeds $700 per month. There are approximately 301 troopers from a total of 703 funded positions living in these 13 counties.
