NO IMPACT TO STATE GOVENRMENT. THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE EMD PROGRAM WILL BE INCURRED BY THE 911 CENTERS IN EACH COUNTY. AT LEAST 21 COUNTIES ARE CURRENTLY PROVIDING EMD, 20 ARE PLANNING TO IMPLEMENT EMD, 7 DO NOT HAVE PLANS TO IMPLEMENT AND 2 IT WILL NOT AFFECT. THIS BILL IS SUPPORTED AND ENDORSED BY THE WV ENHANCED 9-1-1 COUNCIL.
