Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
HB 4272 would have a nominal impact on the revenues and expenditures of state government as they directly relate to the regulatory responsibilities of the Offices of the Insurance Commissioner. (no fiscal impact)
The proposal expands contraceptive insurance coverage to dependents which may have a fiscal impact on PEIA, Medicaid, and CHIPS' benefit costs. A fiscal note request has also been made of each of these agencies and should be read in conjunction with this note.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
Commercial insurers would file rates incorporating the increased benefits, but the process for review at the state would remain unchanged. No fiscal impact as is relates to the operations of the Offices of the Insurance Commissioner.
PEIA, Medicaid and CHIPS have also been asked to provide fiscal notes for the bill.
