Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to provide a loan forgiveness program for nurses similar to what exists for medical doctors and osteopathic physicians.
The Department of Health and Human Resourses does not anticipate any additional costs associated with this legislation. The Department's Bureau for Public Health (Office of Community Health) currently refers requests to the Health Sciences Program Coordinator, at the WV Higher Education Policy Commission.
