Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
WV Code 15-14-11 appears to suggest that the WVSP would be required to form a fraudulent documents identification unit. Insufficient data exists to calculate the number of full-time civilians and sworn personnel that might be necessary to enforce the provisions of this legislation, although it is believed that a relatively small number of officers could do so. Each full-time trooper assigned comes at a cost of approximately $75,000 per year.
