In order to develop and maintain a registry for persons convicted of operating a clandestine drug laboratory, the annual operating costs are estimated to be $542,907.

Personal Services: $236,996 9 new staff positions - 6 Office Assistants, 2 Fingerprint Technicians and 1 Information Systems Specialist II Fringe Benefits for the above 9 new positions: $129,511 Current Expenses: $51,400 Enhanced telecommunications service to handle internet traffic: $26,400 Software development: $25,000 Repairs and Alterations: $25,000 (Upgrade to current server room's power supply to accomodate website server) Assets - $100,000 Website Server - $25,000 Personal Computers, Office Furniture and other equipment - $75,000

The U. S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) already maintains a registry that contains 90% of the criteria contained in this legislation.
