Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
There bill suggest that supervision would be done by DOH employees but our classification in the WVDCR would not prohibit all inmates to be unsupervised. It is not possible to give an accurate fiscal estimation. Should we provide supervision there would be an additional cost to staff and equipment to include vehicles. The average cost to a Correctional Officer hire is $53393 which included the benefit package. Additional Vehicles to transport the inmates to Highway locations could also effect this additional cost.
