Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):


This legislation if passed, would increase the revenue and enhance volunteer fire departments ability to improve operations, increase the morale of its volunteers, by improvements not limited recruitment and retention. No added cost to the State but the additional revenue impact would be positive in every way to assist one body of our State's heroes to evaluate and develop for some much needed Recruitment and Retention programs for the enhancement of providing the valiant service efforts within their community and other surrounding communities.



Memorandum


If the legislation is passed, there are no areas of vagueness in the language of the bill but the positive impact to fire departments service, staffing, training, morale, and recruitment would be enhanced.
