Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
Under this proposal, 7% of the Medicaid reimbursements received must be used for salary supplements for providers of eligible services. (The Medicaid reimbursement for fiscal year 2004 was $21,600,000. Based on this amount, 7% would be $1,512,000.) These funds were previously unrestricted for use by the county boards. As a result, the estimated cost to the various county boards of education under this proposal is $1,512,000.
