Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
These estimates represent the approximate cost to compensate troopers for all "on-call" time during a one year period. Limiting on-call compensation to only those hours falling outside the period from midnight to 8:00 a.m. would reduce this amount by approximately 66%. Sufficient data does not exist to provide an exact estimate of the cost under this scenario.
