Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to provide a $2,500 annual salary bonus and expense reimbursement for certification expenses to professional personnel who meet certain professional national certification standards, and to require the state board of education to develop equivalent qualifying standards for professional fields where none currently exists.

The total estimated cost to the State for this proposal is $16,005,224. The estimated time frame for implementing this proposal is 12 to 24 months to allow the state board time to develop equivalent qualifying standards.
