Fiscal Note Summary

Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.

The purpose of this bill is to establish the Emergency Medical Services Needs-Based Assessment and Funding Act. This bill has no fiscal impact on the Department. The bill directs the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) to conduct a statewide, needs‑based assessment of OEMS agencies. The OEMS has already developed a substantially similar assessment tool in 2023. No additional funding, staffing, or manpower is required to complete this assessment, as it will be conducted using existing resources, personnel, and administrative processes.
