The bill further provides that a municipal court may request the DMV to suspend the driver's license of any person who fails to pay costs, fines, fees, and penalties owed within a specified timeframe. The Division will require two additional employees to process the expected volume of 10,000 transactions. Total personnel services and benefits for these positions would be $94,256 annually. Current Expense would consist of mailing and supply expense of $9.10 per item for a total current expense of $91,000 (10,000 x $9.10).
