This bill would allow the Attorney General to challenge unconstitutional federal actions and publish model policies for police departments and political subdivisions on resistance to federal commandeering. If there were to be federal overreach, the Attorney General shall commence and prosecute legal challenges.

The Attorney General estimates additional staff would be needed to perform this function. The cost to the State in terms of increased expenses could be considerable and exceed the above estimates.
