This legislation, in its current form, allows county boards of education to contract for participation in the West Virginia Guardian Program to assist with school safety issues.

For informational purposes, the latest School Safety Survey from the county boards of education indicated that a total of 329 FTE's are needed for school safety. The average estimated cost of a SR0/PRO is $92,000 annually.
