The purpose of this bill is to establish maximum salaries of county school
superintendents for each of the 55 counties, based on student population of each county.
This legislation is too vague to respond to this fiscal not request.
Currently, county boards of education choose and compensate the county superintendent based on several factors including, but not limited to, the expertise necessary to meet the unique needs of the local school system, achieve academic goals, and support student success.
