Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


This legislation, in its current form, requires the West Virginia State Superintendent to be paid a salary equal to the average of the annual salary of the equivalent of state superintendent of school positions in each of the five border states (Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. If enacted, this legislation would result in an increase to the West Virginia State Superintendent's salary from $230,000.00 to $246,666.12.
