This bill deletes the word "male" out of WV Code 17-5-1. The operational impact of this bill is that both male and female felony inmates could support the state convict road force.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):


The WVDOH already relies upon females with felony convictions in at least District 1 for trash cleanup as part of the state convict road crew, so the fiscal impact is anticipated to be de minimus.
