Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
This bill will double the daily attendance fee paid to petit jurors. To determine the estimated cost, petit jury fees in FY 2020 were used as a baseline. In FY 2020, Petit jury fees were $830,400. If the petit jury fees were doubled, it would be an additional $830,400 in expense to the state.
