Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
Summarize in a clear and concise manner what impact this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The bill creates a special revenue account to be administered by the Secretary of Administration as the State Records Administrator and authorizes the Secretary to charge for records management services provided to agencies.
Currently, these services are provided through contracts for services with vendors, however the creation of the fund and the authority to collect for services provided would allow the option of the Department of Administration providing the services to agencies, as the State is exploring options for the most efficient and cost effective method of managing state records.

Memorandum
Please identify any areas of vagueness, technical defects, reasons a bill would not have a fiscal impact, and/or any special issues not captured elsewhere on this form.
The bill creates a special revenue fund administered by the Department of Administration, and allows the Secretary of Administration to charge for services provided to agencies. The bill would provide an option for the Department of Administration to provide services that are currently being provided by third-party vendors as the State explores options for the most efficient and cost effective means of managing state records.
