This bill will establish a new responsibility for the State Athletic Commission that this commission does not currently oversee. The State Athletic Commission regulates boxing and mixed martial arts events held in West Virginia. The agency does not have employees to support these additional duties, therefore, it will be necessary to establish a minimum of two full-time positions to fully comply with this bill. This will create an additional expense to the state each year.

Please explain increases and decreases in personal services, current expenses, repairs and alterations, assets, other costs and revenues, including assumptions and data sources and delineation between start-up and ongoing costs. Please also include a long-range schedule of costs and revenues if fiscal impact is expected to vary in future years.
The agency does not have employees (0 FTE's) to support these additional duties, therefore, it will be necessary to establish a minimum of two full-time positions (Director and Administrative Assistant) to fully comply with this bill. The Attorney General will be needed to establish rules and provide legal assistance for the agency. Additionally, there will be estimated costs for computers, printers, furniture, office space, training, website maintenance, telecommunication, and office supplies.
