Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
If passed, this bill would establish the Unmatched Medical Graduate Advisory Council to address issues related to medical school graduates who are not placed in a residency program. The advisory council is required to meet and report on its findings and recommendations. Additionally, the Higher Education Policy Commission (HEPC) must provide administrative support and use its existing funding for any necessary costs. The fiscal impact for HEPC providing these services to the advisory council is not expected to be significant.
