The Division of Protective Services has been tasked in maintaining record keeping of training courses and qualifications for hired security personnel and potential new security employees hired under this bill. For that reason, an additional WV Division of Protective Services employee will be hired under the School Safety Division to fulfill this requirement.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The Division of Protective Services is estimating Salary and Fringe benefits to hire a new employee. This newly created FTE will have to be funded in FY 2025. There will also be expenses in current expenses for office furniture, computer equipment and necessary office supplies to sufficiently do assigned tasks. The necessary funding will have to be provided annually starting in FY 2025.
