The WV Division of Corrections & Rehabilitation cannot predict how many additional offenders would be incarcerated for prison sentences as a result of this legislation. However, for each offender so incarcerated the State of West Virginia can expect a cost of $25,879 per year (average annual cost per inmate in FY2018).
