Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
This legislation just creates a new special revenue fund designed to contain monies received for use of court's advance technology; therefore, it does not have any negative impact on the Judiciary.
Actually, this legislation will create a new revenue stream to help offset maintenance of technology currently supported solely by general revenue monies. However, there is no reasonable way to calculate or estimate the amount of new revenue the State will receive as a result of allowing outside interest to access and utilize the court's advanced technology.
