Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This Legislative Bill will not directly affect the funding provided to the School Building Authority. However, this bill, if approved, will drastically affect the number of school improvement project the School Building Authority will be undertaking annually. Approximately 50% of annually school improvements the School Building Authority addresses come from local support for capital projects. The passage of this bill will have the net effect of fewer schools being constructed throughout West Virginia which will have a direct effect on jobs and the state’s fiscal well-being as a whole.
