Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
| The purpose of this bill is to authorize a special Lions International membership registration plate. This bill also establishes a one time fee of $10.00 to cover the cost of issuance and an annual fee of $15.00 for each plate. These fees are in addition to the regular annual registration fees.
In accordane with 17A-3-14, the Lions International will have to have 100 registrants prior to the start of plate production. The Division has been paying $8.30 for special plates plus $5.00 for administration cost. Total cost to issue this special plate is $13.30 per plate or $1,330. Revenues generated from this plate will be $2,500 the first year and $1,500 in subsequent years. |
