Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
|This measure will result in an annual savings of at least $1,000,000.00 in costs associated with the cleanup of methamphetamine labs.|
|Effect of Proposal||Fiscal Year|
|1. Estmated Total Cost||-500,000||-1,000,000||-1,500,000|
|Repairs and Alterations||0||0||0|
|2. Estimated Total Revenues||0||0||0|
3. Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
All cost reductions allocated to the "Other" category would be a direct result of not paying methamphetamine cleanup costs.
|Technical defect: This measure, while eliminating the "allowable expense" charge of $10,000.000 for the cleanup of real property damaged by a methamphetamine laboratory, nonetheless retains in the definition of "claimant," the owner of real property so damaged.|
