Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
House Bill 2490, if enacted, would require the appointment of veterans advocates at state institutions of higher education for veterans, current members or reserves of the Armed Forces or National Guard. The bill describes the responsibilities of those advocates. Because institutions currently employ staff who advocate for veterans and could be appointed to these positions, no additional expenditures of state funds are anticipated from the enactment of this bill.
