Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this legislation is to provide a seamless electronic voter registration option at the time of driver license or identification card renewals. Software programming changes provided by the current vendor are estimated at $35,000 and will be paid by the Secretary of State’s Office.
These transactions will be uploaded to the Secretary of State’s Office on a daily basis and should have no fiscal impact on the Division of Motor Vehicles.
