For each offender sentenced in this manner, the State of West Virginia could expect to pay an additional $171,129 ($24,447 average annual cost per inmate in FY2012 x 7 years) for the increase in 3rd offense DUI penalties and up to $733,410 ($24,447 average annual cost per inmate in FY2012 x 30 years) for the increase in DUI With Death penalties.
