Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to provide mental health treatment alternatives to involuntary comitment. The bill also allows a court to convert an involuntary hospitalization application into a petition for a temporary compliance order. It also authorizes the court to create a new databse for compliation of certain persons to be used by the circuit courts.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
This bill provides that the Court may create a database to house treatment compliance orders issued in mental health cases. Since maintaining such mental health information in a database is a feature already being developed within the unified judicial application technology that the Court is currently developing, passage of this legislation will not require the Judiciary to incurr any additional costs.
