|The purpose of this bill is to provide mental health treatment alternatives to involuntary comitment. The bill also allows a court to convert an involuntary hospitalization application into a petition for a temporary compliance order. It also authorizes the court to create a new databse for compliation of certain persons to be used by the circuit courts.|

3. Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
This bill provides that the Court may create a database to house treatment compliance orders issued in mental health cases. Since maintaining such mental health information in a database is a feature already being developed within the unified judicial application technology that the Court is currently developing, passage of this legislation will not require the Judiciary to incurr any additional costs.
