Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The Office of the Secretary of State will not provide a printed version of the State Register or supplements, all the information will be available for free on the internet. The change will cause a decrease in revenue of $11,800 due to the loss fees for copies of the register and supplements. The expenditures would also decrease by $21,790 resulting in a net saving to the state of $9,990.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The revenue estimate is based on the request for State Registers and supplements from FY 2012.
Code of State Rules supplement 42 request at $150 = $6,300
Register 22 request at $250 = $5,500
The expenditure estimate is based on the actual printing cost for the first nine months of FY2013 and an estimated for the remaining months. Total printing cost estimate is $3,317. The expenditure decrease also includes a decrease labor cost to compile the print version of 660 hours per year. Total labor cost including benefits is $18,174. Postage is also included at $299
