Fiscal Note Summary


Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


    The purpose of this bill is to increase the compensation for board members to be in line with interim compensation for legislators and to revise the registration requirements for engineers wanting to conduct business in the state. Currently, the board members are paid at a rate of $50 per meeting and they are required to conduct one meeting per year. Under this bill the compensation would be the same as interim pay for the legislature or ($150) per day. Therefore, if only one meeting is held per year, the increase in cost would be $100 per each of the five members for a total increase in cost of $500. There appears to be no increased costs associated with the changes in the registration format.
