    The West Virginia Division of Corrections has no method to predict how many offenders would be affected by this legislation. However, for each offender sentenced in this manner the State of West Virginia could expect to pay up to $195,576 ($24,447 average annual cost per inmate in FY2012 x 8 years, being enhanced from 2 to 10 years maximum). For the 2nd offense provision, the State of West Virgnia could expect to pay up to $366,705 per offender ($24,447 average annual cost per inmate in FY2012 x 15 years).
