Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
Memorandum
The salary scales reflected in this proposed legislation do not reflect the current scales in effect pursuant to WV Code Chapter 15-2-5 in that they do not contain the last salary increase granted by HB 2879. Additionally, while the intent may be to grant salary increases for all ranks, it was noted that the proposed salary for a lieutenant colonel is actually a salary reduction.
As a result of these technical errors, no fiscal note was prepared.
