| The legislation will add two (2) additional members to the State Fire Commission formn 13 to 15. Commissioners are not salaried employees but do receive per diem and incidentail items (badges, shirts, etc).
The monetary figures are based on an average of one commissioner's expenses for the calendar year 2011. The addition of 2 seats to the Fire Commission will not generate any income. However, there will be additional costs associated. |

Costs associated with 2 additonal fire commission members is projected to be $5,100.00 (avg.)annually. This number could become higher if the commission has additional meetings in excess of the 6 annual meetings they normally have. Special meetings are sometimes necessary for various reasons whether it be legislation, litigation, hearings, etc. |
