HB 4524 would have no fiscal impact on the revenues and expenditures of state government as they directly relate to the regulatory responsibilities of the Offices of the Insurance Commissioner. HB 4524 requires certain insurance companies to participate in information data matches with the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement for the purpose of establishing, modifying and enforcing child support, spousal support and medical support. There could be a fiscal impact to the expenditures of the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement that should be considered when evaluating this proposal.

Memorandum


HB 4524 amendments place data and information sharing requirements on insurance companies for the purposes of child support enforcement obligations. HB 4524 does not alter the regulatory responsibilities of the Insurance Commissioner. Accordingly, it has no fiscal impact.
